| Localization Testing Localization is the process of customizing a software application that was originally designed for a domestic market so that it can be released in foreign markets. This process involves translating all native language strings to the target language and customizing the GUI so that it is appropriate for the target market. Depending on the size and complexity of the software, localization can range from a simple process involving a small team of translators, linguists, desktop publishers and engineers to a complex process requiring a Localization Project Manager directing a team of a hundred specialists. Localization is usually done using some combination of in-house resources, independent contractors and full-scope services of a localization company. Our localization testing service offerings allow software publishers and enterprises to achieve excellence in over 10 languages. The multilingual services that we offer focus on all areas affected by localization, including software functionality, documentation and help files, window/UI design, content messages and websites. We have developed a network of both internal and contract testers and translators, with all of them having significant exposure to the language and culture of both the target and U.S. markets. This enables us to make direct comparisons between the native and localized versions of the software, helping to ensure that the software functionality and usability carries over to the localized product. Crestech can carry out a wide range of tests on applications in the following languages: Our Methodology Through our unique C-FLU™ methodology, we follow a three tiered approach to localization and globalization testing • Functionality • Linguistic • Usability and User interface |
