Crestech has executed around 100+ software testing project varying in size, complexity and degree of distributive development. We have built client-dedicated Testing CoE (Center of Excellence) from scratch for large enterprises and midsize ISVs in locations across US and Europe, as well our offshore testing center in India.
From this diverse project history, Crestech teams have learned to apply a wide set of methodologies, including enterprise level, such as CMMI Level 5; and product testing oriented, such as Agile testing methodology. Pricing models

Crestech offers multiple pricing\engagement models to meet diverse needs of global clients. You can choose from any one the generally accepted models below or a combination of them for different phases of your project. We can work with you to customize a model to address your specific need.

Our out of box pricing models are based on the following proven engagement modes

Effort based pricing or Time & Material

In the Effort based pricing model, the project cost is a function of the total project execution time and the corresponding resources deployed. This engagement model is particularly useful in contexts where the projects are quite complex and are prone to specification and design changes midstream.

This model gives customer greater flexibility in terms of developing the project specification on an ongoing basis and modifying the specifications based on the changing market needs.


Retainer based pricing

A dedicated testing facility is an extension of the customer's own engineering/development center. Through such dedicated facilities, we offer the best skill sets, resources, flexibility and time-to-market advantages to the customers, taking all necessary efforts to protect the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) of the customers. All rights to the IPR developed in the Development Facility vests with the customer.

The Dedicated Facility also provides a cost effective solution to customers requiring continuous offshore support. For such dedicated relationships, we also implement customer specific quality/process frameworks and teams are trained for the specific needs of a Client. The resources are paid on a retainer basis.


Project based pricing or Fixed bid

CresTech offers fixed-price project solutions for application testing, where we assume the risk and responsibility to deliver on time and within budget, freeing our customers to focus on their real business priorities. This works best for customers who know exactly what they want and are looking for a competitive fixed price and agreed timescale for the testing of their products\projects.

Based on our past experience, the successful delivery of fixed-price projects always requires a comprehensive requirements specification which has clear acceptance criteria and defines the system requirements to a level of detail and precision such that each individual requirement is test-able. This requirements document may be the result of an earlier consulting engagement with CvresTech (or other competent third-party) or the customer’s own analysis.

During fixed-price projects, we provide our customers with clear evidence of progress and visibility of the end solution, matched by rigorous and well-documented testing processes, and post-live warranty periods.

    •    A low risk option, which you can choose when the scope and specifications for the projects are reasonably clear.
    •    We offer Project based pricing in domains wherein we have the expertise and also have well defined estimation tools to determine the resource commitments.
    •    Our process optimization ensures reliability, predictability and optimized performance of the projects to deliver on time, on budget, on target.

Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) Model

In the Build-Operate-Transfer Model, Crestech launches a dedicated facility for the client. This facility is like an extension of the client's own facility. The dedicated facility leverages Crestech's technical infrastructure, processes and execution capabilities. The dedicated facility is staffed either by existing Crestech's resources or by Client's resources or by resources hired specifically for engagement or a mix of them all. Crestech has a well-defined mechanism for the smooth transition of the facility to the client.

Delivery Models

Offshore Delivery Model

Onsite Delivery Model


The duration and nature of some engagements often requires work to be done completely onsite at the client's premises. Crestech provides an onsite Delivery Model that is perfect for executing a testing assignment for customers who are looking to begin a phased approach to offshoring.
Our consultants with relevant skill sets will test the application at the client's site under the guidance of the client Project Manager. At the same time, they will also report to our offices in India on a weekly basis. Our onsite project teams work either as an integrated project team or as a self-managed team.

Onsite – Offshore Delivery model

The Onsite - Offshore Delivery Model is our most widely-used model, as it judiciously mixes offshore and onsite components for various phases of the testing project in order to deliver offshore cost savings to the clients without compromising the quality of the project's deliverables.

Typically, the project planning and requirement gathering are executed onsite at the client's location. The subsequent phases of the project, such as knowledge transfer, test design and test execution, are then carried out offshore at Crestech’s test labs in India.
